Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 26, 2026 · Last Updated: August 26, 2026
FoxCreek Prayer is operated by FoxCreek Technologies, Inc. We are committed to protecting your privacy and collecting as little personal information as reasonably possible.
Our Core Commitments
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not sell prayer requests.
- We do not use prayer requests for advertising.
- The app is ad-free.
- No general user account is required.
- No email is required to ask for prayer.
Information We Collect
We intentionally minimize the information we collect. When you submit a prayer request, we store only what you provide: your optional first name or nickname, your prayer text, and your preferences (such as whether to post anonymously or privately).
We do not require public users to provide email addresses, passwords, full legal names, addresses, dates of birth, phone numbers, medical information, demographic information, or church membership in order to use the core prayer and Bible features. Authorized Prayer Team members use authenticated accounts for moderation and ministry functions.
Public vs. Private Prayer Requests
Public requests may appear on the Prayer Wall and are visible to anyone visiting the site.
Private requests are visible only to authorized Prayer Team members and never appear on the public Prayer Wall.
Browser-Based Edit Keys
When you submit a prayer request, we generate a unique edit key stored in your browser's local storage. This allows you to manage your request (edit, add updates, mark as answered, reopen, or delete) without creating an account. The raw edit key is never stored on our servers — only a securely hashed version. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, you may lose access to manage your request.
Reporting and Moderation
Every public prayer request includes a Report option. Reports are reviewed by authorized Prayer Team members. Reporter identity is never shown publicly, and the poster is never told who reported them.
Prayer Team Access
Authorized Prayer Team members have access to private requests, reports, and moderation tools. Prayer Team access is controlled by the app owner and is not available through public self-registration.
Technical and Security Logging
We maintain reasonable technical and security logs necessary for operation and abuse prevention. We do not intentionally include prayer-request content in routine technical or security logs, except where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, or legal obligations.
Cookies and Local Storage
We use local browser storage to remember your edit keys, Bible reading preferences (translation, text size, reading mode), and to prevent duplicate "I Prayed" actions. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
Data Retention
Active prayer requests are automatically archived after 30 days. Answered prayers remain visible for an additional 30 days before being archived. Archived requests are retained for a configurable period (currently 90 days) after entering Archived status, after which they are permanently deleted or securely purged unless retention is required for a legitimate moderation, security, or legal reason. Only minimal moderation and audit data is preserved when necessary.
Data Deletion
You may delete your prayer request at any time using the "Manage My Request" feature. The Prayer Team may also remove content that violates our Terms of Use.
Crisis Limitations
FoxCreek Prayer is not an emergency service. Prayer Team review is not immediate or guaranteed. If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency services (911 in the US) or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US).
Bible Preferences
Your Bible reading preferences (translation, text size, light/dark mode) are stored locally in your browser. No account is required.
